God Always Loves And Accepts You

9 "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in His love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. 17 This is my command: Love each other.  John 15:9-17 

I went on a job interview last week.  Although I thought the interview went pretty well, I decided that I did not want the job and would reject it, if it was offered to me.  Well guess what?  I got my rejection letter in the mail today.  I had to almost laugh at myself though: although I had decided that I didn’t want the job, I was still irritated, annoyed, and even a little angry and hurt that I was rejected!  How dare they reject me? (smile)  I guess it just shows the basic fact that everyone wants to be loved and accepted and no one likes to be rejected; we would rather be the one doing the rejecting. 

This rejection also got me thinking…..I am so glad that God always loves and accepts me!  No matter what I do, think, or say, it doesn’t matter.  Of course He doesn’t want me to sin, and when I do, He wants me to confess my sins, repent and change my ways, and not sin again.  But as long as I love Him and believe in Him, He loves me! 

So the next time you feel like you are rejected, try not to get too hurt or angry.  Just remember that God always loves and accepts you!  And thank Him for His love!  And then go and share His love with others! 

Dear God, Thank You for Your many blessings!!!  Thank You for always loving and accepting me, no matter what!!! In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen
