Smile! God Loves You!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but may have eternal life.  John 3:16

See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are.  1 John 3:1

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end.  Lamentations 3:22

I was slightly “down” at work the other day.  I’m sure all of you have had that kind of day.  After all, we’re only human and people or events can sometimes disturb and upset us.  Well on the way home from work I heard the song listed below.  I’ve heard this song many times, and every time it really speaks to me.  Please read the lyrics carefully.  I think it says it all, don’t you?  I was going to bold the parts that really spoke to me, and then I realized that the whole song spoke to me!!!

Now I know the fact that God loves you is not some big news flash to Christians.  The Bible tells us that over and over again in both the Old and New Testaments; the Scriptures listed above are just a few examples.  But I think it is good to be reminded of it often.  We cannot begin to understand just how much God loves us!!!  Just think….God loved us so much that He gave us His only Son to die for us so that we could live with Him forever and have eternal life!!!  It doesn’t get any better than that!!!

So always remember how much God loves you!!!  And hopefully that will be enough to make you smile and lift your spirits….even when you’re having a “down” day!!!

Dear God,

Thank You for Your many blessings!!!  Thank You for loving me so much that You sent Your only Son to die for me!!!  Help me to shine for You!!!  Help me to share Your love with others!!! In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen
